Every sod & mulch service we offer in St. Petersburg

Sod work looks simple from the curb. It is not. A full-yard install involves reading drainage across the whole lot, matching sod variety to the sun the yard actually gets, and getting soil contact right on every seam so it does not die by August. A mulch bed that looks tidy for two weeks and then fades and washes out by summer is usually the wrong material for the site, not bad luck.

Below is everything we handle. Each page covers what the work involves, real price ranges, how long it takes, and the questions homeowners actually ask us on site. If you are not sure which service you need, call (727) 555-0100 and describe your yard — we will tell you for free, even if the answer is that you do not need us yet.

Sod work: installation and delivery

The bulk of what we do. Sod installation is our most requested job, whether that is a single dead patch or a full acre lot. If you have your own crew or just want the material, sod delivery gets fresh-cut pallets to your driveway on your schedule, no installation required.

Mulch work: installation and delivery

Mulch installation covers bed clearing, edging and spreading to the correct depth — pine bark, pine straw, cypress or rubber. If you would rather spread it yourself or already have a crew, mulch delivery drops bulk mulch by the yard, straight into your driveway or blown into the beds.

Prep and grading

Lawn bed prep & leveling comes first when soil is compacted, poorly graded, or full of weeds that will come right back through new sod. And landscape edging is what keeps mulch and turf where they belong instead of migrating into each other after the first heavy rain.

Not sure what you need? Text a photo of your yard to (727) 555-0100. We will tell you which service applies and roughly what it costs, usually within the hour.

Questions

Sod & mulch service FAQs

That is sod installation, even if a few patches are still green. Trying to patch a lawn that is more than half dead usually costs more in the long run than a fresh full install, and the color mismatch between old and new grass never really disappears. We will give you an honest read at the estimate.

Yes. Most of our volume is residential yards, but we also handle HOA common areas, new-construction lots and commercial property frontages. For commercial work we provide a certificate of insurance and W-9 before starting, and we can schedule outside business hours where access requires it.

Almost always, and it saves you money. A very common combination is a full sod install plus mulch in the surrounding beds, or bed prep and leveling plus a fresh edge line. Bundling means one trip, one setup and one price rather than two separate service calls.

Look at drainage and weeds. If water pools in the bed after rain or weeds come back within weeks of pulling them, the bed needs grading and proper weed control before new mulch goes down. We check this on every estimate and itemise it separately, so you see exactly what is prep cost and what is mulch cost.

Delivery means we bring fresh-cut pallets to your property and you or your crew handle the install. Installation means our crew does the whole job — prep, laying, tamping and rolling. Delivery costs less since there is no labor, but installation is what carries our 30-day establishment guarantee.

We do not. We work exclusively with living sod and organic and rubber mulch products. If you are set on artificial turf, we are happy to point you toward the installers in Pinellas County who specialise in it.

Normally within the same week for standard residential yards, and one to two weeks for large lots or jobs needing significant grading. Sod orders are timed to harvest, so calling earlier in the week generally gets you a better slot than calling Friday afternoon.

Thirty days on sod establishment when our written watering checklist is followed. That covers sod that fails to root because of an installation issue on our end. Damage from skipped watering, pets or storms is not covered, but we will always come repair it at our normal per-pallet rate.

No. Estimates are free and on site, because there is no honest way to price a sod or mulch job from a phone description alone. We measure, check soil and irrigation, and hand you a written flat price. There is no deposit required to get that number and no obligation to book.

Everywhere in our service area at no trip charge: St. Petersburg, Old Northeast, Snell Isle, Shore Acres, Gulfport, South Pasadena, Kenneth City, Pinellas Park, Seminole, St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island and Tierra Verde. Outside that, call and ask — we sometimes make the drive for larger jobs.
