Most companies that will sod your yard also mow lawns, trim hedges and handle whatever else came through the phone that week. There is nothing wrong with that, but it means sod and mulch are the thing they fit around other work. For us, sod and mulch are the only work. That focus is the whole reason we can tell you within about ninety seconds of walking your yard whether Floratam will hold up under your canopy, or whether your soil needs amending before anything green will take root.
We have installed sod and mulch on more than five hundred properties across Pinellas County — historic bungalow lots in Old Northeast and Shore Acres where the older irrigation systems need checking first, waterfront yards on Snell Isle and Tierra Verde where salt exposure changes the sod choice, and the larger open lots out in Pinellas Park and Seminole. How we price, and why we publish it
We put our actual price ranges on the website, which almost nobody in this trade does. The reason is simple: homeowners have no way to judge whether a sod quote is reasonable, and that information gap is where people get overcharged. If you know a small yard should be $900 to $1,700 and someone quotes you $3,000, you have learned something useful.
Every estimate is free and on site. We measure your square footage, check soil and irrigation coverage, then hand you a written flat price. That number does not change once work starts unless you change the scope. There is no deposit required to get a quote and no obligation to book.
What we will tell you that costs us money
If your existing lawn has three good months left before it needs replacing, we will say so rather than sell you a full install today. If your soil is compacted from construction, we will recommend bed prep and leveling first and tell you plainly that sod laid over bad grading will pond and die within a season. If Bahia will save you real money on a large lot with imperfect irrigation, we will recommend it over the more expensive Zoysia even though the margin is smaller for us. We would rather have the referral than the extra few hundred dollars.
Materials we actually use
Farm-fresh Floratam St. Augustine as the default, because it tolerates more shade than any other warm-season grass sold in Florida and still holds a dense, dark-green look. Zoysia where a client wants a tighter, more manicured lawn and has the full sun to support it. Bahia on large lots and anywhere irrigation coverage is not guaranteed, because its root system is simply tougher. Pine bark, pine straw, cypress and rubber mulch depending on the bed and the budget. The guarantee, in plain terms
Thirty days on sod establishment when our written watering checklist is followed. If sod we installed fails to root because of an installation issue on our end — poor soil contact, a section we missed on grading — we replace it at no charge. What it does not cover is damage from skipped watering, pets, or irrigation you disconnect after we leave. That is not an installation failure, and we will repair it at our normal per-pallet rate rather than pretend otherwise.

Yes, licensed in Florida and carrying liability insurance on every job. We provide the license number and a certificate of insurance before work begins, without being asked. HOAs, condo associations and property managers routinely need this for their files and we send it as a matter of course.
No. The people who quote your job are the people who do it. That matters more than it sounds: a subcontracted crew has no stake in whether the sod takes in three weeks, and no reason to flag a grading problem that would shrink the job. Our guarantee only works because the same crew owns the result.
Because the details are where these jobs fail, and you only learn those details by doing nothing else. Soil contact, irrigation timing, matching sod variety to sun exposure, reading drainage before it becomes a pond — none of that is obvious, and all of it decides whether your lawn establishes or dies in August. Specialising is how we keep callbacks low.
Call us and we come back. Establishment issues within thirty days caused by our installation are fixed at no charge, following our written watering checklist. Damage from skipped watering, pets or storms is repaired at our normal per-pallet rate. Either way you get a real person on the phone rather than a warranty claims process.
Not for estimates, ever. For scheduled work we generally collect on completion after you have walked the yard with us and confirmed you are happy. Very large commercial jobs are the exception, and any deposit terms are stated in writing on the quote before you agree to anything.
Yes, and we do it regularly. If a mulch top-off will carry your beds another season instead of a full replacement, we say so. If your lawn just needs a smaller patch repair instead of a full re-sod, we quote that instead. The homeowners who become repeat customers are almost always the ones we talked out of spending money on the first visit.
Yes, and it is a meaningful share of our work. We provide a certificate of insurance and W-9 up front, can invoice the association directly, and are happy to walk the property with a board member or manager before quoting.
Yes. The homepage gallery shows recent jobs tagged by neighborhood and service type. We are also happy to give you addresses of completed yards in your area so you can drive by and look, which is honestly more convincing than any photo we could show you.
