Sod & mulch installation across Pinellas County

We are based in St. Petersburg and we work a tight radius on purpose. A crew that drives ninety minutes each way cannot give you a same-day yard or come back next week to check on establishment. Staying inside Pinellas County and the beaches is what lets us hold a 30-day guarantee and actually honour it.

It also means we know the soil. The sandy fill in Pinellas Park and Seminole drains fast and needs closer irrigation attention. The older lots in Old Northeast and Shore Acres often have compacted soil under the topsoil from decades of construction. Waterfront property on Snell Isle and Tierra Verde gets salt exposure that changes which sod variety actually survives.

St. Petersburg & neighborhoods

Our home base and the bulk of our work. St. Petersburg itself covers an enormous range of lot types, from historic bungalow lots downtown to larger newer builds further out. We also cover Old Northeast, Snell Isle and Shore Acres as distinct neighborhoods with their own soil and irrigation quirks.

Pinellas County & the beaches

West and south of downtown we work Gulfport, South Pasadena and Kenneth City. North we cover Pinellas Park and Seminole, where lots run larger. Out on the barrier islands we serve St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island and Tierra Verde — heavy salt-tolerant sod territory, and some of our most detail-sensitive jobs.

Why the radius is deliberately tight

We get asked regularly whether we will drive to Tampa, Clearwater or Sarasota. Usually the answer is no, and the reason is the guarantee. A 30-day establishment guarantee only means something if coming back to check on it is practical. A company that drives ninety minutes each way cannot return for a slow-rooting section without losing money on the trip, which is precisely why so many guarantees in this trade quietly evaporate when you try to use one.

Staying inside Pinellas County also keeps our estimate turnaround at 24 to 48 hours and makes same-day yard work genuinely possible rather than aspirational. It is a smaller market than we could serve, and it is the reason we can actually do what we say.

Just outside the list? Call anyway. We regularly make the drive to nearby Pinellas County communities for full-yard sod installs, where the job size justifies the trip. Small mulch top-offs we usually cannot.

What you get regardless of which city you are in

Same crew, same materials, same six services, same flat written pricing and the same 30-day establishment guarantee. Your ZIP code changes the drive time, not the standard of the work or what you pay per pallet.

Questions

Service area FAQs

No. Every community on our service area list is on our normal route, so the price you are quoted is the price you pay regardless of whether you are in downtown St. Petersburg or Tierra Verde. If you are outside the list we will tell you honestly whether the drive works for your job size before we quote.

Estimates usually happen within 24 to 48 hours anywhere in the service area. For the work itself, standard yards are typically same-week, and large lots or jobs needing significant grading run one to two weeks out. Sod orders are timed to harvest, so exact dates lock in once you approve the quote.

Not routinely. Crossing the bay adds enough drive time that we cannot hold our normal scheduling or pricing over there. For a large multi-pallet sod install it is worth a phone call, but for small jobs you will get better service from a Hillsborough-based company.

Yes, and a meaningful share of our work is HOA common-area landscaping and community entrance beds. We provide a certificate of insurance and W-9 up front, can invoice the association directly, and are happy to walk the property with a board member or property manager before quoting.

No. Pricing is driven by square footage, sod variety, grading needs and access — not by your ZIP code. A 3,000-square-foot yard costs the same in Gulfport as it does in Pinellas Park. Difficult access or heavy grading costs more anywhere.

Yes, significantly. Sandy fill in Pinellas Park and Seminole drains fast and needs closer irrigation attention. Older neighborhoods often have compacted soil under the topsoil. Waterfront lots get salt exposure that some sod varieties tolerate far better than others. We factor this in on every estimate, in every city.

The older housing stock and post-construction lots. Old Northeast, Shore Acres and parts of Gulfport commonly have soil compacted from decades of construction and past landscaping. We check grading and drainage on every estimate, in every city, before quoting sod.

Yes, with priority scheduling everywhere. After heavy storms we triage by severity rather than geography, so a fully washed-out yard in a low-lying area gets seen before a routine mulch refresh elsewhere.

We can give you a rough range over the phone or from texted photos and a lot size, and that is often enough to decide whether to proceed. But the written flat price requires an on-site visit, because square footage, grading and irrigation condition are the three biggest cost drivers and none of them are reliable from a photo.

It genuinely does not matter. The service area pages exist so you can read about your specific community, but the pricing, scheduling and guarantee are identical across all twelve. Pick whichever page is closest to you, or just call and tell us your cross streets.
