Under the heaviest canopy, we often recommend converting the deepest-shade sections to a mulched bed with shade-tolerant plantings instead of fighting to keep grass alive there.
Sometimes. Established oak root systems can run shallow and close to the surface in this neighbourhood, which affects grading — we work around visible surface roots rather than cutting into them, and it occasionally means a slightly uneven finish grade near mature trees to protect the tree.
